In this role, you will:
- Oversee and coordinate the business’ internal communications activity across various channels, such as internal e-mail updates, digital signage, physical signage, intranet, vlogs, and emergency notifications systems,
- Deliver communications advisory support to internal stakeholders to help ensure internal communications campaigns and initiatives achieve their desired results,
- Responsible for the production of marketing and communications materials and assets such as brochures, case studies, info sheets, etc.;
- Manage the business’ annual internal communications content calendar and ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective channels are utilized and maximize the potential of digital communication channels.
- Oversee and manage the copywriting of editorials, articles, blogs, features and profiles, presentations, and web and social media content;
- Act as an alternate to the Head of Communications for crisis communications support and develop and manage plans for handling internal communications at times of crisis; including the creation and delivery of any necessary internal communications and engagement plans following a crisis;
- Coordinate Babcock Canada’s internal communications with Babcock’s Global Communications Function,
- Ensure the Communications function’s policies and procedures are maintained and updated as needed;
- Assume other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- A post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications with demonstrated experience in coordinating projects;
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing marketing copy, editing, proof reading, and making presentations;
- Expertise in strategic storytelling, communications, marketing and working knowledge of website best practices, digital and content marketing, as well as communications design, development and execution.
- Excellent organizational skills, and is comfortable managing multi-project timelines and deliverables, and identifying potential issues upfront;
- Strong relationship-building skills, and is able to develop rapport with team members, vendors, and internal stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience thriving in execution-driven roles and is capable of identifying operational improvements or processes to increase efficiency;
- A highly level of proficiency using MS Office suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using of Social Media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter) and using WordPress for web publishing;
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
