As the Store Manager at Belbin’s, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of their store and will be responsible for the overall operations, customer experience and team management. The Store Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of all store departments, with a primary focus on delivering consistently fresh, delectable, and innovative offerings, always ensuring the best value for Belbin's cherished customers. The Store Manager is tasked with achieving strong financial results grounded in sound business practices and leading through a collaborative, hands-on approach that resonates throughout the entire store.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers. Manage inventory, visual merchandising, and in-store promotions.
• Customer Focus: Create a welcoming atmosphere that fosters customer loyalty and satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and concerns to ensure a superior shopping experience.
• Team Leadership: Hire, develop and motivate a high-performing team. Lead by example, setting expectations for excellence in customer service and sales.
• Relationship Builder and Partner: Develop strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders including staff, customers, vendors, and the community.
• Sales and Growth: Develop strategies to drive sales, increase store revenue, and meet or exceed targets. Identify opportunities for business growth.
• Financial Management: Monitor and control store expenses, budgets, and financial reports to ensure profitability.
• Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create eye-catching store displays that showcase our products effectively.
Qualifications:
We are in search of an enthusiastic leader with substantial experience and a demonstrated passion for the retail industry. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
• Grocery Industry Insight: Previous experience within the grocery industry is an added advantage, demonstrating familiarity with its unique dynamics. This includes in-depth understanding of Home Meal Replacement, catering and events and commercial kitchens.
• Retail Management Expertise: A proven track record of experience in retail management roles, showcasing a deep understanding of the industry. Knowledge of visual merchandising and store operations is essential.
• Educational Background: A post-secondary education in business or a related discipline is highly advantageous and will be considered an asset.
• Leadership and Team Development: An exceptional ability to lead, coach, and motivate employees to excel in their roles. You will champion a customer-centric approach and consistently enhance the level of customer service, anticipating and exceeding customer expectations.
• Results-Oriented: You are driven by a passion for achieving and surpassing both sales and customer service targets. Your results-oriented mindset will be a valuable asset in this fast-paced environment.
• Adept at Problem Solving and Decision Making: Strong problem-solving skills are crucial for navigating the challenges of the retail and grocery industry. The ability to make sound decisions will be key.
• Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills: These skills are essential for juggling the demands of retail management efficiently. Your knack for organization and time management will ensure smooth operations.
