Facilitate critical relationships between clients, ARS and insurers. Manage Aon projects and industry-related resources to achieve client objectives. Ensure overall account profitability with a value-based approach for the scope of service and costs associated with the Client Promise Plan. Understand and work in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results and Values. Educate clients in risk management, risk transfer, market issues and relevant trends including appropriate benchmarking and data. Serve as a trusted business adviser on all pertinent issues; monitors client satisfaction; reports and resolves client issues and concerns and reviews client expectations to ensure relationship is mutually acceptable and beneficial. Serve as a resource of industry, product or market area expertise to internal and external clients. Define interdependent responses to opportunities to grow the business. Ensure operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g., Transparency & Disclosure, Aon Compliance requirements, Client Promise Methodology). Performs related duties as assigned.
How this opportunity is different

Our new colleague will be defining this role in our Canadian Construction and Infrastructure (C&I) practice to establish stronger connections between the client facing Account Executives and the needs of their clients and prospects and the Construction and related specialty broking teams and the offerings and requirements of their insurers.
There will be involvement in regional, national and global projects and ability to participate and drive innovative projects and solutions across several solution and product lines. Specifically some of the priority projects this role will support is the continued build out of Aon’s Mass Timber differentiation strategy, monetizing some of the work Aon is doing in the IoT sensor and connected construction technology space, enhancing and supporting initiatives for specific target classes of clients such as electrical contractors and architects/engineers.
This role will also provide technical support and expertise on complex project placements as needed and provide an opportunity for mentorship and development of the technical construction skills of intermediate and junior construction brokers.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
10+ years Commercial insurance and/or risk management experience
Experience and knowledge of risk management techniques beyond insurance policies is preferred
Level II license required
At least one of the following designations is preferred: CRM, CIP, FCIP and CAIB.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
Very strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines.
