École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is a rapidly evolving university in engineering and technology located in downtown Montreal. ÉTS offers undergraduate and graduate programs focused on applied engineering as well as state-of-the-art research infrastructure. ÉTS is also home to the Centech, a business incubator, offering support services for researchers wishing to commercialize their research.

Your work will make a tangible contribution to scientific progress and the development of Quebec’s productivity and competitiveness, as well as the training of a highly qualified workforce.
As part of the objectives of its 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, ÉTS aims to create new programs in emerging technological fields outside engineering, such as user experience design (UX), in order to increase interdisciplinarity in programs and the impact of innovation within society.

Our Design Department
The ÉTS Department of design is looking for professors in user experience design (UX) with a specialization in one or more of the exclusive fields below. Applicants will ideally have relevant professional experience.
The successful candidates will play a central role in the launch of a undergraduate program aimed at training the next generation in UX design in Quebec. The program stands out through collaboration between the disciplines of engineering and design, and will take advantage of ÉTS’ existing expertise in areas such as human-computer interaction, human factors, cognitive ergonomics, sustainable development. or health technologies. This program will be hosted in a new pavilion equipped with a prototyping workshop and spaces dedicated to virtual reality and user research.

Compensation
80 754$ - 153 620$ per year, depend on experience.
