What our Accounts Receivable Specialist does:
Works as part of our Finance team reporting to the Director of Finance
Owns the entire accounts receivable process from issuing invoices through various customer portals to reconciling payments and everything in between
Works closely with the Customer Success and Sales team to ensure invoices are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
Proactively follows up with customers on overdue payments and answers any billing questions
Prepares weekly reports on overdue payments
Reconciles payments received in multiple bank accounts
Goes to the bank to deposit cheques (you must be located in the Metro Vancouver area and able to come into the office once a week or bi-weekly for processing cheques and going to the bank)
Fills out vendor forms and other end-of-sale documents
Calculates monthly and quarterly sales commissions
Supports the month end and year end process
Builds and optimizes processes for efficiency
Goes above and beyond for your team and our customers
What makes you a great fit:
Alignment with our Core Values (
1+ Year of bookkeeping or accounting experience or degree/diploma in Accounting
Stellar Excel skills (you're no stranger to complicated formulas and pivot tables)
Experience with Xero or other Cloud accounting software
Experience with Hubspot or other customer relationship management tool
Familiarity with comprehending and executing contract terms for customers
A detailed-oriented, innovative, and growth mindset
A self-starter attitude with the discipline and commitment to meet your deadlines with little oversight
Trustworthiness and accountability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Able to work 40 hours a week and either:
Authorized to work in Canada and located in the Metro Vancouver area.

The annual base salary range for this role is $47,000.00 - $57,000.00 CAD . The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
