Job description

This is a contract position for a Sr Systems TestingQA Specialist / eForms x1 for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Twelve Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
· Provide testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools
· Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, connectivity/error handling. and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests)
· Develop test cases and execute these against the various components
· Work closely with the Software Engineers and Business Analyst in the analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the required systems

Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

· Design and create a Test Strategy for features based on the identified requirements
· Test requirements and identify any gaps
· Create and estimate DevOps Tasks for QA related work
· Create and Execute Test cases for assigned areas
· Defect management for areas owned

Desired Skills:
· Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
· Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner that is understandable
· Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language
· Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
· Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools
· Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
· Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle

Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years in a Senior/Leadership QA role
· Minimum 8 to 10 years’ hands-on experience testing Enterprise Web Applications
· Strong working experience creating Test Strategies for complex systems
· Strong working experience using Microsoft DevOps Test Plans
