Job Description:

The Project Coordinator will be a lead organiser of projects by this town is small, notably the final stages of a Space Needs Assessment and the third edition of Radiant Rural Halls (RRH). The Project Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Executive Director through all stages of coordination, in research/development, the coordination of the projects, and their final presentation and promotion. This position is aimed towards emerging arts administrators, who have knowledge and experience in the sector, but who would benefit from working directly on a project.  

Radiant Rural Halls is a series of presentations of contemporary visual artworks in community halls in rural Prince Edward Island between February – April 2024. The project looks to support contemporary art within rural communities, stimulating critical dialogue and making art accessible to a wide region. Radiant Rural Halls is presented by this town is small and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. Space Project: Imagining a Space for TTIS is a project which addresses a long-term goal for TTIS, currently a spaceless organisation, to one day have a dedicated space to support visual and multidisciplinary artists who continue to lack a central hub that offers professional exhibitions, workshops, events, and more, as well as intangible benefits that come from a gathering space for creativity and imagination. The Projects Coordinator will assist with the final stages of this project, including acting as a liaison with the two consultations as they draft their TTIS Space Needs Assessment Report and assisting with meetings/events related to the project. 

This position can be done with a combination of working from home and in our office space in Charlottetown and will require travel to locations across PEI (with the support of a travel stipend).

Job Duties:

Applicants should have experience in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Project Management, Communications, or equivalent. They have strong organizational skills, communication/writing skills, proficiency with office tools, and ability to work well both independently and with teams. Bilingualism in English and French would be an asset.
