Job description
Our client in the Freight Forwarding and Customs industry is actively seeking customs clerk.
They are looking to add someone who has great attention to detail, is meticulous, resourceful and adaptable.

- Salary dependent on experience, 20-24$/hr
- Hours are 8am to 4pm (35 hour work week, 1 hour lunch)
- Rotation evenings and weekends (once a month) on-call

Responsibilities
- Reviewing all customs documents
- Data entry of customs documents in system
- Support dispatch with preparation of documents for custom clearances
- Reducing non-compliance to reduce transactional errors
- Resolving related issues
- Ensuring accuracy of information
- Contact clients for missing documents / information necessary for customs clearances
- Set up and release of assigned account shipments
- Arranging for payments
- Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
- Other related tasks
Qualifications
- Eagerness to learn and grow
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of customs is considered an asset
- Advanced English with a functional French
- Diploma in Supply Chain or related customs program is an asset
- CIFFA Certificate preferred
