Internship Placement for Summer 2024 Term

Location: 551 King St, Fredericton, NB (hybrid available)
Number of placements: 1
Salary: $17.00/hour
Hours per week: 36.25, flexible
Placement Duration: May – August 2024
Department : Social Development (SD) – Financial Services
Placement Description : Placement will provide support to caseload investigators and internal auditors working to increase efficiency and decrease risk in the Audit Services Branch of the Department of Social Development. Placement will perform data entry, data analysis, evaluation and interpretation of evidence, with full support from the branch. No public facing service, the position will work in person and remotely (max of 50%) with the team and learn to use the department's systems and deepen Excel knowledge and professional writing skills to contribute capacity to the team's annual workplan.
Qualifications:

• Language Qualifications: English or Bilingual
• at least 1 year post-secondary education in finance, economics, accounting, math, or business

Skills/Highlights :

• High attention to detail, ability to work equally well with others and on your own, should have and/or will gain extensive experience using excel as well as in-house SD programs, high attention to accuracy, should be able to concentrate for reasonable periods of time
