Job description
Position: Bilingual Receptionist
Location: Ottawa (Onsite)
Job Type: Temporary
What you will do:
- Greet visitors and provide a warm and welcoming reception experience
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist visitors with inquiries, providing information about the company, products, or services as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and common areas
- Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar as required
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and assist with setting up conference rooms for meetings
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory, placing orders as needed
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management
The experience you have:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and French
- Interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
