Summary:
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all bar-related operations within Bar Compton. This role demands a mix of creativity, leadership, and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will not only have a profound understanding of mixology and current drink trends but also demonstrate an ability to manage staff, inventory, and the overall customer experience, ensuring that our cocktail bar remains a premier destination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cocktail Development & Menu Planning:
• Collaborate with mixologists and bartenders to create and regularly update the cocktail menu.
• Keep abreast of current cocktail trends and innovative mixology techniques.
Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise mixologists to ensure consistency and high-quality service.
• Organize shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing during peak times.
• Conduct regular training sessions on product knowledge, mixology skills, and customer service standards.
Inventory Control & Procurement:
• Manage bar inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing.
• Conduct regular stock takes and manage the order of supplies and ingredients as needed.
Financial Management:
• Monitor daily sales and manage costs to achieve profitability targets.
• Prepare regular financial reports related to bar operations.
• Control operational expenses while ensuring the premium quality of cocktails and service.
Customer Service:
• Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle and address any guest/team complaints or suggestions.
• Foster an environment where guests receive a memorable cocktail experience.
Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure that the bar adheres to all local health and safety regulations.
• Monitor the responsible service of alcohol and ensure all team members are compliant.
