Position Overview: The Senior Design Architect is responsible for producing smart and effective designs, has e xperience in assembling and submitting Planning applications with Municipalities. We are looking for someone who has h ighly developed oral and written communications, leadership and relationship management skills capable of dealing with levels coupled with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. This position is based in Burlington/Oakville.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in Design Process and Project Reviews, sign and seal project documents.
- Establish oneself in a Leadership and Mentoring role in the firm.
- Develop new Client relationships; Manage Existing Client relationships.

- Project Qualifications and Proposal Phase
- Conceptual Design Phase
- Schematic Design Phase
- Detailed Design Phase
- Tender Phase
- Construction Admin Phase
- Work directly under Branch Manager in a leadership role
- Participate in Management meetings; Contribute in developing strategies for the Branch’s success
- Be engaged in Staff Development and Mentorship
- Collaborate with other internal leaders to support the firm in achieving targets
- Resource management
- Business Development; networking
- Maintain Involvement and attendance at Industry Events
- Keeping in tune with Industry trends, using this to make strategic adjustments in business practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Architect (OAA at minimum)
- Excellent organizational and time/ project planning, management & scheduling skills sufficient to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with proven experience in developing strategic solutions
- Working knowledge and understanding of BIM and Revit architecture; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PM/CRM tools
- Mastery of the concepts, principles, and practices of professional architecture, combined with design development and related construction techniques
