Job description

For the past 83 years, Navera Community Connections, formally CFS Saskatoon, has been a family service agency that creates hope to improve people's lives through services and programs, including clinical, community-based programs, early learning family centers, and individual and family facilitation. CEO - OBJECTIVE:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will lead with vision and purpose, provide strategic direction, and inspire the 5 directors and up to 80 employees. This will include directing all professional services and operations, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction, and compliance with policies, legal obligations, and funding requirements. Outward facing, you will foster strong community and government relations, enhancing Navera’s impact and presence. Collaborate closely with the Board and maintain positive relationships with their partners at Navera Community Connections Inc.

Areas of responsibility include :

o People leadership and operational management;

o Healthy organization and sustainable finances;

o Stakeholder relations and community collaborations;

o Programming, Early Learning Centres and Counselling;

o Government relations and funding, fundraising, and fund development;

o Board governance and recruitment;

REQUIREMENTS

o Post Secondary education along with continuing professional development in a leadership capacity.

o Demonstrated success in leading large teams in organizations with multiple service and program offerings.

o Experience working with a not-for-profit organization in a management or volunteer capacity with a solid understanding of working with a Board of Directors.

o Strong financial literacy with experience in government-funded organizations.

o Strong experience working with internal and external stakeholders and national bodies.

o Successful experience leading fundraising initiatives by working with donors, funders, corporate sponsors, and other identified stakeholders.
