Term: Permanent, Full Time.

Salary: $ 26.00/hour.

Start Date: As Soon As Possible.

Education: No formal education is required.

Language: Basic English is required.

Experience:
No experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided. Previous experience is an asset.

Essential Skills:

Driver’s License (Class 1 or A) / Equivalent to Class 1 License, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is required. Basic documentation knowledge is required, and training will be provided.

You should have text, Numeracy, Communication, working with others, Problem-solving.

Duties:

• Operate and drive a tractor-trailer, long-combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
• Plan trip and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
• Perform pre-trip, route, and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories
  such as tires, lights turn signals, and brakes.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly by safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Maintained driver logbook, administered bills of lading, and manually or electronically maintained logbooks.
• Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers.
• May drive as part of a two-person team.
• Manage trip reports, maintenance reports, and inspection reports.
