Job description

Our client, a global OEM, has an opening for Bilingual Trainer. In this role you would prepare and deliver technical training for staff, dealers and external customers. This is a key role in the training department and supports the delivery of strategic training programs.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Responsible for the preparation and presentation of technical training programs for customers and employees – including instructor led, e-learning, online and other multimedia delivery systems

· Present prepared material as the primary facilitator to dealer staff and internal staff in Class

· Arrange and conduct training for customers, staff and dealers either in house and/or at customer/dealer location

· Act as lead trainer for Train the Trainer with sufficient knowledge level of subject matter

· Work with Training Specialists to design useful and repeatable in class demonstrations

· Present and record prepared on-line training courses, instructional videos, podcasts and other content for dealers and personnel for use on Dealer Link, YouTube or other media

· Determine training requirements, following input from Service and Engineering, Marketing personnel, and dealers and distributors

· Participate in the definition of course content required for training courses

· Creates and edits content i.e. presentation materials, workbooks, e-learning, training calendar and other related documentation

· Work closely with Sales, Engineering and Service to stay abreast of or obtain information related to new product introduction, trends, field issues and failures

· Stay abreast of industry trends and technology for updated or emerging training methods

· Track and document training session metrics e.g. attendees, covered syllabus, attendance, survey and expenses

· Conduct training of employees for technical training – service related

Requirements

· University degree or college diploma in a related discipline

· Experience as a trainer, including organizing training schools

· 5 – 7 years industry experience in training function

· Technical background working with cars, trucks, agricultural, construction, heavy and/or compact equipment

· In-depth technical knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, transmissions and engines

· Experience with and understanding of necessary repair and maintenance procedures

· Familiarity with repair and overhaul workshops and service information, workshop manuals and procedures would be an asset.

· Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills, English and French

· Ability to speak and present publicly

· Problem-solving aptitude

· Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite software, video editing, on-line fluency
