Veterinary Receptionist
Looking for a new opportunity to join a large veterinary team in a progressive veterinary hospital?
Peterborough Pet Hospital is a full-service small animal practice located in Peterborough, Ontario.
Peterborough Pet Hospital is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team full-time. In your role you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. As a Veterinary Receptionist you are a key member of our team and support daily business operations. In your role you will maintain a client focused approach as you greet clients attending clinics, answer phone calls, book and confirm appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client information ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Client Interaction: Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls, and provide information about our clinic's services. Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the veterinary team's time. Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Billing and Payments: Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and communicate estimates for services. Coordinate Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and the veterinary staff, relaying valuable information and updates in a professional manner. Office Organization: Keep the reception area organized and tidy, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
Key Qualifications: Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 year's of working experience in a veterinary clinic and/or customer service role. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Team Player: Collaborative attitude and ability to work seamlessly with the veterinary team. Knowledge: Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is preferred. Technology Skills: Proficient in using veterinary management software and basic computer applications. (i.e. AVIMARK, Microsoft Office)
Additional Info: Job Type: Full Time Expected Hours: 38-40/week. Hourly Wage: Negotiable Schedule: Scheduled Weekdays During Clinic Operations (No Weekends)
