Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager – Nanaimo (Third Street)
**URGENT HIRING**
Hourly Wage range: $60 to $65
Qualifications

Must have valid BC Pharmacist License and in good standing

Pharmasave Third Street is hiring a full time pharmacist licensed in British Columbia for a full-time Pharmacy Manager role, from Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
Our mission at Pharmasave is to offer exceptional patient centered care in an inclusive and professional pharmacy. Our priority is the health and wellness of our patients and are committed to the full scope of the clinical practice of pharmacy.
Hours of operation are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm Saturday and closed Sunday.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your duties will include·
Dispensing prescription medications to patients
Reviewing medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Monitoring patient drug therapy for interactions, contraindications, and adverse effects
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Providing medication counseling to patients on proper use and potential side effects
Compounding medications as needed
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Work location: In person
Other duties as required
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
Strong knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations
Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of prescription abbreviations
Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
Experience in patient care, particularly in pediatrics or acute care settings, is highly desirable
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and regulations
Qualifications

Please note this is a Licensee position, and a valid pharmacist license is required for this position. You will be required to work with the Front Store Manager to ensure a seamless workflow.
