Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), & proof of membership in good standing with the College of RECEs
 Previous Child Care experience
 Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification
 A clear and satisfactory criminal reference check inclusive of the vulnerable sector search (CRC VSS) issued for the YMCA of Niagara

Location
Father Fogarty YMCA Child Care Centre - Welland

Pay RECE ($19.03 + $2.00 WEG + $2.00 RECE premium) After 3-month probation period: YMCA Health/Dental Benefits - paid sick days and generous vacation plan. YMCA Membership benefits and ECCDC Membership

The role of the RECE is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Centre. Helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Responsible for the care and safety of the children
 Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum
 Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff
 Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification
 Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara
