SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Organizational Development and Worker Support Services, the successful candidate will take part in developing and maintaining an effective health program that meets the needs of employees and the employer. This person will promote the wellness, health and safety of employees and must participate in applying preventive measures and treatments for workplace accidents and employees in contact with known illnesses or infections. The incumbent will also keep occupational health records and play a key role in the development, implementation and success of the department's improvement projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Nursing;
- Member in good standing of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
- Knowledge of infectious diseases;
- Valid BLS certificate;
- Occupational health certificate would be an asset;
- Psychology training/course would be an asset;
- ASIST training or completion of this training as soon as possible after hire;
- Minimum of five years' varied nursing experience and two years in occupational health or infectious diseases would be an asset;
- Experience in mental health or addiction services would be an asset;
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office software and readiness to learn computer tools;
- Proven ability to perform assigned tasks quickly and meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Initiative and ability to make decisions based on sound judgment;
- Excellent stress resistance;
- Proactive client approach;
- Sound self-management;
- Ability to travel within the assigned zone and to work in other facilities within the zone;
- Keen interest in the professional development required for the position;
- Recognized leadership skills, including interpersonal and group communication skills;
- Ability to work in collaboration with various partners;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to settle disagreements in sometimes delicate situations by showing tact and creativity;
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English ;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
