HTG is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team as a Reference Electrician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acting as a Subject Matter expert who will interact with various electricians in the field as a reference point to assist with guidance to help them install and troubleshoot EV Chargers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You will integrate with the product team to understand the technology in terms of various electrical requirements, including integration with batteries, wind, solar, and grid.
- You will work with local electricians working at the homes to help them understand what needs to be done and to help them troubleshoot infrastructure problems
- You will continue to learn about new EV charging technologies as the market develops
- You will familiarize yourself with the Electrical Code's of different locations in order to better assist electricians in those areas
- Valid electrician's license or certification in the USA and/or Canada
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation, preferably in residential settings.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to charging infrastructure installation.
- Familiarity with electric vehicle charging equipment, components, and manufacturers
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to travel to various job sites within the designated region.
- Read and interpreted drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Optional skills:
- Additional certifications or training related to electric vehicle technology or renewable energy systems.
- Experience with permit application processes and regulatory compliance for electrical installations.
- Prior experience working with smart charging solutions or networked charging infrastructure.
