Our Village of Wentworth Heights and Hamilton Continuing Care, located in Hamilton, Ontario have an exciting opportunity for RECREATION TEAM MEMEBERS to join their team.
Full Time and Part Time hours available, availability every other weekend is required

As a new Recreation Team Member, yo u will:
- Have experience working with the geriatric population
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture.
- Work as key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs,
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and the Village team to deliver holistic services
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health
It would be an asset if our new Recreation Team Members has:
- Enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university is an asset
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
- Experience working with people living with dementia
