About the Position The Centre for Health and Wellness invites applications for sessional instructors in the Primary Care Paramedic program commencing August 1, 2024, contingent on government approval of this new program
Position Details We seek dynamic individuals strongly committed to educating and inspiring students and demonstrating a passion for teaching and learning. The ideal candidates demonstrate a respectful approach and are self-motivated and learner-centred. Individuals will work collaboratively, demonstrating engagement in the program and as employees of Lethbridge College
- Teaching Primary Care Paramedic Students in a theory and/or lab setting.
- Clinical teaching in an emergency service setting – rural travel may be required.
- Seeks excellence in teaching by applying and evaluating various teaching strategies.
- Fosters an environment of inquiry, valuing evidence-informed practice.
- Participates as a member of a larger faculty team in developing and implementing effective teaching strategies and program initiatives.
- Instructor duties as per the instructor roles and responsibilities document (attached for reference).
Required Qualifications - Current Advance Care Paramedic qualification
- Previous experience teaching in a Primary Care Paramedic program
Preferred Qualifications Salary Commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the current Lethbridge College Faculty Association Collective Agreement
