Job description
The Medical Marketing Manager researches, develops, implements and analyses marketing strategies and budgets to support B2B sales for product lines. As well as, B2C practice management strategies, initiatives and collateral. The MMM liaises with suppliers to adopt & launch products into the portfolio following the Clarion Launch process; and works closely with the Senior Marketing Director, Division Sales Directors, and Regulatory Director to gather insights into the business and clinical aspects of the assigned market to develop strategic marketing programs that support the financial objectives of not only the medical division, but Clarion as a company.
The Medical Marketing Manager oversees Clarion Medical’s Medical marketing staff. They ensure the team is effectively promoting the product lines and targeting the correct and appropriate audience in their campaigns. They keep their teams motivated and encourage creativity and innovation.
The successful applicant will:
- Issue performance reporting on specified product lines including purchasing trends, campaign results, and relevant promos
- Provide sku level forecasting for all consumables
- Conduct ongoing customer, market and competitive analysis; to develop reports and comparison matrices
- Work closely with Sales Director to ensure alignment on overall sales and marketing plan and initiatives.
- Work with Marketing Director and Sales Director to develop quarterly and annual Marketing Plans, including development of communication initiatives, sales, marketing and technical programs
- Provide direction to the Marketing team related to execution of the Event Plan, coordination of conferences, workshops and events and completion of ROI information
- Develop expert knowledge of products in the assigned portfolio, serve as information resource to sales and internal teams
- Develop and maintain all collateral for the portfolio, both adapted from suppliers and new items as needed for the Canadian market
- Participate in assigned corporate initiatives as marketing champion to develop cross-functional expertise and optimization (e.g. ecommerce, CRM, website)
- Conduct quarterly reviews and set KPI’s for consumable marketing team.
The Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 5+ years of marketing experience preferred
- Experience in the vision industry preferred
- Bilingual would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Exceptional copywriting skills with respect to marketing collateral (brochures, website etc.)
- Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills; business cases, forecasting
- Effective project management skills
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to be proactive with a sense of urgency
- Self-starter, highly motivated, excellent initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing
- Sound understanding of marketing principles & consumer strategies
- Good team player – work collaboratively and effectively as a team member
- Strong decision-making and judgement skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – ability to build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
