Do you have a passion for numbers and aspire to contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing SME? We are looking for an Accounting Controller who will support all accounting operations of our company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting entries, bookkeeping, and month-end closings
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, in collaboration with the administration coordinator and administration director
- Process payroll and manage insurance-related data within reasonable deadlines
- Act as an expert in the accounting system and support sectors in any accounting-related operation
- Generate all required declarations
- Produce financial statements and management reports
- Supervise budgets
- Liaise with governments, banks, accounting firm, and other professionals
- Prepare tax reports (federal and provincial) and make submissions
- Prepare quarterly commission reports
- Coordinate treasury operations
- Identify cost reduction opportunities or margin improvements
Education, Skills & Abilities:
- 3 years or more experience in a controller role or 8 years or more in an accounting technician role
- DEC, AEC, or BACC in accounting
- Knowledge of Quickbooks Online (an asset)
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written), functional English
- Attention to detail
- Autonomy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Appreciation for "hands-on" work
