Overview

We’re partnering with a high growth, acquisitive, software company, based in Markham, looking to add an experienced leader to their finance team. This is a high profile position with the successful candidate managing an established team and playing a key role in strategic initiatives.

Opportunity Details

If you are established Manager/Controller in industry with IFRS knowledge and a proven ability to meet key finance deliverables and develop a team this role could be ideal.

 

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Preparation of period end corporate and lender reporting and financial statements
• Ensure a smooth and efficient month end close process
• Oversee FP&A related activities
• Manager, coach and supervise a team of finance professionals
• Technical review of contracts and accounting memos to assess impact under IFRS
• Lead post acquisition integration process
• Execute ad hoc initiatives/special projects required by the CFO & Managing Director

The company is offering an excellent compensation package, full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
• A minimum of 8 years post grad experience with at least 2 full years experience at Manager level/supervising a team
• At least Working knowledge of IFRS is required
• Self-confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills
