DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Moncton, NB
As the Director of Finance, you will be a pivotal member of our client’s Leadership team, entrusted with providing strategic financial guidance to their organization. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial excellence across all facets of their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and oversight.
- Financial Reporting: Coordinate and deliver regular financial reports to the management team, offering insights to drive operational goals.
- Analytics and Strategic Planning: Analyze the organization’s financial performance to maintain focus on operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Data-Driven Insights: Oversee and advance reporting, data, and analysis capabilities to drive competitiveness and optimize operations.
- Cash Management and Forecasting: Manage divisional cash flow and forecasting activities.
- Budget Preparation and Analysis: Lead budget preparation, business forecasting, and long-range strategic planning initiatives.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor the finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Professional Accounting Designation: CPA accreditation is required.
- Experience: 5 to 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, including significant management-level experience.
- Team Management: Demonstrated experience in managing finance or accounting teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and a strategic focus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Deadline-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple objectives in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Operational Understanding: Possess an understanding of operating processes and a good knowledge of information technology capabilities.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated leadership, relationship management, and communication skills are essential.
