Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development and R&D, the Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating 3D models and drawings for the R&D team. This includes developing 3D models, selecting components, and preparing work instructions. The role also involves performing calculations to validate performance and collaborating with suppliers to integrate new technologies into our product line.

Responsibilities
• Provide design solutions for the R&D team
• Use Autodesk Inventor to create detailed designs
• Prepare 3D models and drawings
• Work with production to resolve design issues
• Collaborate with the quality department to present solutions to customers
• Select components and work with suppliers to develop new concepts
• Follow design brief guidelines and work with the R&D team leaders to implement solutions
• Perform FMEA when necessary to identify risks
• Prepare specifications and other related documentation
• Prepare detail, assembly, and arrangement drawings for manufacturing, assembly, erection, and maintenance
Create detailed layouts to determine dimensions and check clearances
Perform in-depth calculations for analytical analysis of refrigeration systems
Qualifications
• Degree in industrial design or equivalent
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
• Fluent in spoken and written English, functional spoken French
• Experience with refrigeration systems
