We are seeking a Researcher with significant technical skills in the fields of Computer Vision, NLP and Deep Learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible to design, develop, integrate and productize machine learning technologies for the next generation of EPSON products. The role requires the use of judgement, managing multiple priorities and independent decision-making.

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

• Investigate and utilize complex engineering and mathematical principles to develop core technologies, composing of algorithm structures and finding solutions to complex problems.
• Design and implement machine learning algorithm for current and future Epson applications.
• Create, prioritize, communicate, maintain, and execute roadmaps, project plans, and commitments.
• Oversee completion of machine learning system/software testing/evaluation activities and actively communicate the results to management and stakeholders.
• Periodically, review and update the system requirements/design documentation together with algorithm reports.
• Actively participate in the patents filing process to ensure protection of EPSON core technology ideas.

 

 

Essential Skills & Requirements :

 

• PhD or Master of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of hands on experience in designing and developing machine learning algorithms and software applications in related fields to robotics, and computer vision applications.
• Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of Convolutional Neural Networks, Graph Neural Networks, Language and Vision Transformers.
• Hands-on experience with Foundational Models/Large Vision-Language Models is a plus.
• Good programming skills with C++, Python, with sufficient familiarity to at least one of the following frameworks: Tensorflow, PyTorch.
• Publication in reputed conferences and journals.
• Well organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team builder/player, with an energetic and proactive attitude.

 

Additional Skills :

• Experience with software development tools, source control, issue tracking, continuous integration, code coverage
• Understanding and practical experience with optical systems.
