FLSA Status Hourly Non-exempt Reports To Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Manager or Designated Group Engineer Education/Experience Working toward a BS in Engineering Considered at least a Sophomore or in 2nd yr of 4 yr degree Able to work at least 4 hrs per day, 5 days per week Must remain in good standing with good grades at school Good interpersonal communication skills Essential Functions, Knowledge And Competencies Individual Leadership / Influencing: Using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to inspire and guide individuals toward goal achievement; modifying behavior to accommodate tasks, situations, and individuals involved Ability to lift 50 pounds Information Monitoring: Setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of information necessary for the management of projects or an organization; taking into consideration the skills, knowledge, and experience of the responsible individuals and characteristics of the assignments or projects Adaptability: Maintaining effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people Teamwork / Cooperation: Active participation in, and facilitation of, team effectiveness; taking actions that demonstrate consideration for the feelings and needs of others; being aware of the effect of one’s behavior on others Analysis / Problem Assessment: Securing relevant information and identifying key issues and relationships from a base of information; relating and comparing data from different sources; identifying cause-effect relationships Decisiveness: Making timely decisions; rendering judgments; taking action when appropriate; committing to a side or position Fact Finding: Using questions and research to gather relevant information Judgment / Problem Solving: Committing to an action after developing alternate courses of action that are based on logical assumptions and factual information and that take into consideration resources, constraints, and organizational values Technical/Professional Knowledge: Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills/knowledge in job-related areas; keeping abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise Customer (internal and external) Satisfaction Timeliness of action Quality/accuracy of design work Customer Focus Communication skillsJob tags
