Job description
Ensure all invoices sent to customers are correct per their contracts. Strive to ensure payments made in CV are completed quickly. Also ensure all Journal entries are completed and submitted as needed
- Assist with the daily operation of Banff Lodging’s Accounting Department with an emphasis on extranet billing for all Banff Jasper Collection (BJC) hotel properties;
- Assist with Day Audit – verifying the night audit reports, checking for discrepancies with payments and postings, and balancing and depositing daily cash
- Prepare the daily F&B revenue entries – record the daily sales from F&B locations to be sent into accounting
- Execute billing of all extranet based companies
- Assist with hotel accounts payables and accounts receivables .
- Process invoices on Centreviews for the Banff Hotels
- Perform general office duties
- Distribute Grats to Banff F+B staff
- Complete month-end Journals entries with-in timeframe outlined by Accounting
- Some extra duties with seasonal properties. Glacier view lodge and Prince of Whales hotel
- Complete Expensify entries for Hotel Managers
- High school or equivalent education required, Bachelor’s Degree or related technical school degree preferred
- 1 to 5 years in hotel, office or similar function
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Basic computational ability and basic computer skills
- Math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience with Maestro/Great Plains preferred
