Position: Senior Manager, Tech Ops & Security - Cloud Infrastructure
Location: Saint-Laurent
Salary: $115K to $120K per year

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Technology Operations & CyberSecurity to join our client's dynamic team. This pivotal role involves managing our cloud-based infrastructure, networks, and applications to ensure high availability, operational efficiency, and robust security. It's a hybrid role in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud-based infrastructure across multiple cloud service providers
- Work with major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions.
- Manage and optimize cloud costs, making strategic decisions to maximize efficiency and control expenses related to cloud services.
- Design and implement scalable and elastic cloud architectures to accommodate varying workloads.
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the performance and reliability of cloud-based applications and services.

Technology Operations:

- Close all Support tickets within SLAs cloud infrastructure, databases, networks, and other critical systems 
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address operational issues before they impact customers.
- Oversee the change management process and the Change Advisory Board (CAB) involves maintaining a structured approach to managing changes in the IT environment.
- Oversee day-to-day network operations, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and resolving network-related issues.
- Develop and update technology diagrams and documentation as needed.

Cyber security:

- Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud environments, incorporating best practices in identity and access management, data encryption, and network security.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cloud security and data protection.
- Develop and lead incident response and threat management processes for cloud-based systems coordinating responses to security incidents and implementing preventive measures.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Implement and manage IAM (Identify and Access Management) strategies for cloud services, ensuring secure and granular access controls.
- Implement monitoring solutions to detect and respond to security events in real time, leveraging cloud-native security tools

Budgeting and Cost Controls:

- Work with CTO  to manage Technology Operations budgets for cloud-related tools and services.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, providing guidance and expertise on Technology Operations and Cloud
- Coordinate team activities and projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met

Integration with DevOps:

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle, fostering a culture of security throughout the development and deployment process.

Requirements:

- A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field
- At least 10+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering,
- 3+ years of Team management & Leadership experience within Technology Operations teams
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration (preferably Debian and CentOS)
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructures (Google Cloud experience is required, additional experience with Azure will be an advantage)
- Experience with Monitoring Tools (NewRelic, Datadog, Splunk, etc.)
- Proven expertise in cyber security, including cloud security best practices.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific certifications (GCP Associate Cloud Engineer) are an asset
- Knowledge of system/network security and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create scripts using Bash, Python, Perl or other languages
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with people and teams specialized in all types of disciplines
- Great attention for details
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Assets:

- Knowledge of Cloudflare
- Knowledge of NordLayer / VPN + other Security components
- Knowledge of Meraki / Cisco
- Knowledge of G-suite, and D365
- Experience with web scripting languages (PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, etc.)
- Experience with Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Jenkins
