Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented, and customer-centric product manager to support MiTek business and customer needs across multiple market segments in Canada. As a key player in the Software Product Management team within MiTek’s Global Digital Solutions Group, the Canada Software Product Manager will collaborate closely with senior leaders to understand MiTek Canada’s business and strategic objectives. The role will have ownership of MiTek Canada’s software roadmap and will coordinate with regional and global leaders, stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers to identify, prioritize, and plan software projects to support these objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with regional and global leaders to understand MiTek’s business and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align regional priorities with global initiatives.
- Establish and manage software roadmap for the Canadian region. Present roadmap and project plan to senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers.
- Plan and prioritize software projects and product backlog to support the execution of Canada’s regional strategic plan.
- Capture business and customer needs and translate them into software requirements.
- Define and track key metrics to measure the success and impact of software solutions.
- Cultivate relationships and engagements with customers and internal stakeholders to inform the prioritization and execution of our software solutions.
- Some travel will be required, mostly within Canada and US.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma from an accredited university or college.
- 3+ years of experience in project/product management, or other roles involved with the development or support of software products.
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably working for a home builder, component manufacturer, truss plate manufacturer, or lumberyards.
- A proven track record of leading or taking ownership of projects and delivering impactful outcomes.
- Bonus if having knowledge of software products used in the construction industry for business management, estimating, 3D modeling, truss/EWP engineering, and production of structural components for wood-frame houses and buildings.
- Demonstrate ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Ability to collaborate with regional and global stakeholders and team members from different countries and time zones.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to bring clarity and order to unclear customer needs and set priorities to serve the business and our customers in the most impactful way. Demonstrate a customer-centric mentality.
- Working knowledge of traditional and agile product/project management methodologies.
- Demonstrate leadership and influence with no formal authority.
- Able to work in office at our Bradford location, in accordance with our hybrid work policy.
