About Our Opportunity

 

Supporting the Program of Learning Assessment in Nova Scotia (PLANS), you are responsible for materials (shipping/receiving, inventory, sorting, cross-referencing, tracking) within strict timeframes for provincial assessments and examinations. You will work as part of a team to reconcile thousands of assessments and examinations booklets and account for all returns and record any issues, followed by scoring session preparation, and cutting and scanning booklets.

 

You will maintain security and confidentiality of student materials according to strict guidelines in accordance with the Privacy Act. You’ll work with a range of specialized technology and software in order to organize shipping and receiving, as well as programming and working with data, ensuring accuracy of data. You’ll provide professional client service with internal and external clients in the administration of division operations. You will also support staff with various daily tasks, and perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

 

You are currently a student enrolled in a post-secondary institution and are returning to school in the fall of 2024.

 

You have good organizational skills and are accurate and efficient with the ability to multi-task.  You work well in individual settings and in team environments. You have a keen eye for attention to detail and the ability to trouble shoot issues when they arise. You have experience using computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other similar applications) and are familiar with photocopiers, scanners, paper cutters.

Pay Grade:HOURLY 

Salary Range: $17.34 - $28.26 Hourly
