Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, SAP Transformation the Data Management and Cutover Lead will be responsible for supporting the Region through SAP Transformation and stabilization. By working closely with the Business and D&IS teams you will be responsible for ensuring Data is managed effectively throughout the region as it relates to SAP and interfacing systems. Data Management is an integral part of the SAP S/4HANA transformation success and improvements in how we manage data across the organization will be a key deliverable of this role. In conjunction with Data management, the role will be responsible for leading cutover activities as we migrate from legacy systems, SAP ECC6, etc and move towards SAP S/4HANA.
Duties & Responsibilities
Data Management:
- Overall responsibility for the work products, deliverables, and management of the data owners
- Manage data owners through data profiling and cleansing activities, as related to SAP
- Responsible for evaluation and management of Master Data in SAP through all stages of transformation
- Define Master Data management rules for SAP and SAP impacted systems
- Identify Master Data requirements across multiple platforms and integration points to create Master Data management framework in SAP
- Evaluate SAP Transformation project phases to determine data points for reporting and process improvement.
- Work closely with business users and System Integration teams to develop the detailed data migration plan
- Contribute to, review and approve the Data Object Master
- Contribute to and review the Data Conversion Functional Specifications and Data Construction Documents
- Coordinate and participate in data design discussions
- Oversee data mapping logic creation and support development of load programs (RICEFW or through partner Data X tool)
- Designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting
- Developing standards of operation when handling and archiving data
- Maintaining data management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems
- Co-Create and publish the mock load and verification process and templates
- Co-facilitate and co-lead all mock loads and verification/validation cycles
Data Management(Contd)
- Co-lead the resolution of data related defects
- Support data related testing activities
- Participate in data related security testing, as required
- Contribute to and review the data load sequencing and contribute to cutover tasks and cutover plan
- Support data related activities in the mock and real cutovers
- Participate in Hypercare
Cutover:
- Work closely with the system integration team and partner cutover lead to develop the cutover strategy and detailed cutover plan.
- Oversee and engage The Region resources through the execution of the region led cutover activities during cutover cycles and production cutover
- Contribute to the development of the business continuity planning as part of deployment planning
- Contribute to the development of the Go/No Go presentation and meetings
- Participate in daily cutover meetings during production cutover
- Participate in defect triage meetings and oversee resolution of cutover related issues assigned to the region
- Provide input on non-functional requirements (e.g. BASIS, Security, infrastructure) as applicable
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
- At least three years prior experience in having led SAP cutovers
- Proven experience managing data.
- Thorough and proven understanding of data management and administrative policies.
- Familiar with modern, high-tech databases and IT systems.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to complete multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
- Excellent at problem-solving under pressure.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident in making good decisions with given information.
- Leadership experience with good interpersonal and team skills.
- Experience in multidimensional data modeling
- Experience with at least one major BI/Reporting Application.
- Ability to lead cross-functional team communication and develop cross-functional partnerships.
- Excellent grasp of data structures and interaction between applications and data.
Preferred:
- Structured thinker, result oriented person passionate about data driven decision making
- Should possess good communication capabilities. Should be a team player who is results driven, adaptable, inspirational, organized and quality focused\Ability to handle complex problems from design to execution and deliver in time bound manner under constraints.

- Ability to manage by influence within and across various IT and business disciplines

- Deep experience in MS Office, particularly Project
