Job description

D&S Bulldozing Ltd is a one-stop shop for all construction needs including quality demolition, abatement, residential to commercial strip outs, land clearing, excavation, shoring, road clearing, and site watering services. We have an immediate vacancy for a Bookkeeper for our office.

Job details are as follows:

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Number of Vacancies: 10-1833 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6G5.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours per week.

Compensation: $26.25/ hour. Overtime at the rate of 1.5 times after 8 hours per day/40 hours per week.

Key duties:

• Maintain financial records and general ledger,
• Generate and consolidate financial statements,
• Maintain monthly journal entries,
• Reconcile general ledger accounts,
• Keep records of expenses incurred by the company and prepare checks accordingly,
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll & remittance.
• Prepare and submit WCB remittance.
• Prepare accounting reports for management,
• Prepare information for annual audit and corporate tax returns for chartered accountants.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a College program in accounting, bookkeeping, or two years of experience in a related field
• Language: English
