Collective Impact Facilitator
The Collective Impact Facilitator helps to establish collective impact as a more effective way of achieving larger gains in addressing social issues through multi-sector collaboration. Working together with partners including the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WHRA), the Collective Impact Facilitator focuses on developing collective impact capacity and action to address some of our community’s most pressing social issues. Specifically, the Collective Impact Facilitator will:
- Apply and continuously build on a strong working knowledge of the theory and tools of collective impact (CI), social innovation (SI) and cross-sectoral collaboration.
- Provide backbone support to United Way Winnipeg’s Food Security Network.
- Work with other members of United Way Winnipeg’s (UWW) department of Impact & Innovation to research and develop effective CI support agendas, materials, reports, tools and approaches that serve to further UWW’s strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Support UWW’s understanding of systems, issues and initiatives relative to population health, equity and poverty reduction.
- Connect with collective impact interests and networks locally and nationally to learn, share and highlight the collective impact work of UWW.
- Assist and support other sectors, organizations and multi-sector collaborations to develop collective impact strategies related to poverty reduction and health equity.
Qualifications
You possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:
- A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma, ideally in community development, social work, public health, city planning or a related field, with a minimum of three years related experience. Preparation at the Masters level would be preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- A strong working knowledge of the theory, principles and tools of collective impact, systems thinking, social innovation and developmental evaluation
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a cross-sectoral approach to address complex issues
- Expertise in community engagement and development, strategic planning, and group facilitation
- An understanding of the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Exceptional written communication skills and an interest in exploring opportunities to create new written and visual materials and tools.
- Expertise in establishing shared agendas, working collaboratively across sectors, departments, and/or organizations
- Knowledgeable about systems related to poverty and health
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with WordPress and social media programs an asset
