Joining as a Senior Tax Associate you will have the following responsibilities:
Requirements
- Hold a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation.
- Either completed or in the final stages of completing the CPA Canada InDepth Tax Course.
- Accumulated 35 years of experience in public accounting practice specializing in tax.
- Proficient in preparing and reviewing personal corporate and trust returns as well as in estate tax planning corporate reorganizations and dispute resolution.
- Possess analytical skills for interpreting the Income Tax Act and case law.
- Strong technical background in Canadian income tax including experience in tax research and memo writing.
- Demonstrated comprehension of increasingly complex tax concepts with the ability to apply tax knowledge effectively to client situations.
- Proficient in using CCH (Tax Prep) CaseWare MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Exhibit excellence in both oral and written communication skills.
- Highly responsive to client needs with the ability to cultivate and sustain effective client relationships.
- Proven capabilities in project management and organizational skills.
- Maintain a high level of organization and meet tight deadlines effectively.
