Information Technology Positions
Temporary Full-Time
Location: Newfoundland and Labrador Digital Health Division

In alignment with the Provincial Health Accord, Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) will be replacing Meditech Magic and Client Server (CRMS) with a new leading-edge Health Information System (HIS). This project will be the largest health care system implementation ever launched in Newfoundland and Labrador. In support of the HIS project, it has been determined that the NL Health Services will need to recruit various Information Technology positions.

Computer Support Specialist: CG-29 ($26.54/ hr-$29.48 /hr)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Provide support regarding matters related to telecommunication, hardware, network, security, and application support which encompasses all applications (e.g. Meditech, PACs, Pharmacy Network, EMR, HEALTHeNL Viewer, Telehealth, Client Registry, Provider Registry, etc.) in all Regional Health Authorities, pharmacies and other locations throughout the province.
• Track technical deployment and integration issues and coordinating issue resolution

Your education and experience include:

• Diploma in Information Technology or a Bachelor of Computer Science degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Information Technology.

Computer Systems Analyst I: CG-37 ($34.73/hr- $38.80/hr)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions.
• Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans.
• Performs analysis and design of client requests; implements and tests the design.
• Documents new and exiting business rules for new and existing systems.

Your education and experience include:

• Bachelor's degree and/or diploma n Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in server and PCS systems administration.

Computer Systems Analyst II: CG-39 ($37.20/hr-$41.62/hr)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Performs advanced technical work in planning, directing and coordinating the development of information technology systems and services.
• Work includes conducting investigations into problems with existing production systems and the controlling and coordinating of maintenance and enhancement projects to existing systems.
• Manage and maintain user identities and access privileges to the Health Information System, ensuring that appropriate access is granted, maintained, and revoked in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for IAM.

Your education and experience include:

• Bachelor's degree and/or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in server and PCS systems administration.
