Job description

Cordeiro Roofing Ltd is a well-established construction company specializing in roofing projects. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the project A/P process and ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project team to ensure correct cost coding.
• Interact with the procurement department to resolve any purchase order issues.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and obtain approval for payment.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and verify accuracy.
• Scan and file invoices along with backup documents for online record-keeping.
• Post Accounts Payable invoices in a timely manner.
• Prioritize invoices based on cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Process vendor payments and respond to inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve discrepancies.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain vendor files and documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting practices.
• Oversee respective portion of the AP mailbox and distribute incoming invoices accordingly.
• Ensure all Accounts Payable documentation, policies, and procedures are prepared, maintained, and harmonized.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, in a construction company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Team player attitude with a positive work ethic.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit required
