Job description
Infosys is seeking a Lead Consultant. In this role, you will work directly with the clients to lead critical modules in Data Engineering program which will include metadata management, data catalog, data quality, process/workflow definition implementation, Reporting, Delivery, etc. You will be part of an entrepreneurship and learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON or be willing to relocate to the area.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology
- 3+ years of experience in using API, SQL, Stored Procedures and utilities like TPT, FASTLOAD, MULTILOAD, TPUMP, FAST EXPORT and BTEQ scripts.
- 2+ years of experience in Informatica ETL Projects, solution design and documentation
- Experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
P referred Qualifications - Supports remediation process of onboarding and scanning initiatives for structured and unstructured data.
- Performs code reviews for both functionality and quality to ensure that the deliverables are as per the required business needs and standards.
- Provide guidance to team members on knowledge of relevant quality, process and reuse tools to improve technical quality and productivity of the project.
- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing Datawarehouse solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and speaking skills
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL tools such as Erwin, Talend, DataStage.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead large complex projects with limited direction.
- The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face
