Job description
Our client is a quickly growing consulting engineering firm with 5 locations across Ontario servicing the land development industry with broad applications in new and redeveloped commercial industrial residential and recreational properties.
We are hiring a Receptionist to join their Guelph location. This position is a temporary contract (approx 6 months) with potential for permanent hire.
Salary: $23.00 $25.00 per hour
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (1/2 hour lunch break)
Responsibilities
- Regular reception duties including greeting guests and managing multiline phone system.
- Handling queries by phone email and general correspondence.
- Preparing and setting up meetings rooms.
- Receiving and organizing mail and all shipments.
- Taking accurate messages ensuring that they are passed to the appropriate team member in time.
- Handling printing photocopying and faxing as necessary.
- Assisting with the management of inventory such as stationary.
- Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area.
- Other administrative related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 13 years working in a Receptionist or Administrative type role.
- Must be willing to commit to the minimum duration of the contract (approx 6 months).
- Top communication skills with friendly energy is essential.
- Ability to handle office equipment (i.e. telephone system printers computer).
- Proactive with strong initiative is key. Seeing what needs to be done and just doing it.
- High level of attention to detail is needed.
- Above average computer and data entry skills.
- Professionalism and respect of confidentiality.
- Reliability and dependability is a must.
