Job description
Our Vancouver client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team in a pivotal production support role, focusing on Advanced Metering Systems (AMS) and smart metering technologies. With responsibilities extending to after-hours and call-out support, we are looking for a committed professional with strong business analysis skills and a proven track record in large IT projects within complex environments.

Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the lifecycle of projects related to Advanced Metering Systems, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Facilitate the resolution of incidents, provide technical guidance for AMS system enhancements, and implement hotfixes and upgrades by effectively communicating business needs.
• Liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and present detailed investment justifications and business cases to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Participate in after-hours and on-call support rotations, providing critical expertise to resolve urgent issues as they arise.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills in AMS technology, Structured Decision Making, ITIL best practices, and software development lifecycle to contribute to ongoing process improvements and innovation within the team.
Qualifications
Must haves :
• Strong Business Analysis skills
• experience in large IT projects in a complex enterprise environment or equivalent.
Nice to haves :
• Experience with Advance Metering infrastructure (AMI)
• Experience with the Structured Decision Making process
• Experience with ITIL best practices and software development lifecycle able to manage, monitor and control projects, progress and costs
•Facilitate incident resolution and/or technical designs and/or implementation of AMS system hotfixes and upgrades by providing business context and articulating business needs
•Communicate and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and teams
•Prepare investment justifications and business cases
