Our client in the Waterloo, ON region has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Estimator with Water & Sewer experience to join their growing team! This role will include estimating civil / municipal infrastructure projects as well as a mix of project coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to expand their skill set and grow within their career.

Responsibilities
●Preparing estimates and proposals for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work
● Determining the total cost of construction project materials, equipment, utilities, and
labour
● Seek estimates from vendors and subcontractors
● Generate estimates from fundamental principles
● Manage all stages of the tender process.
● Handle bid closings and proposal submissions

● Facilitate the transition of projects to field operation teams
● Maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
● Establish and nurture professional relationships with subcontractors, construction
personnel, supervisors, and the estimating team
● Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status

Qualifications
● Minimum of 4 years working as an Estimator within the Civil sector
● Experience in estimating principles and practices; planning, execution, pricing, and
vendor/subcontractor coordination
● Capable of deriving cost calculations for all tender aspects
● Well versed in estimating package software
● Knowledge of MTO advantageous, not requiredMinimum of 4 years working as an Estimator within the Civil sector
