Job #4632 – Rare opportunity! We are working exclusively with a small and well-respected organization to help them find a bright and self-motivated Financial Controller to join their close-knit team. The selected incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of their finance and accounting operations from A-Z. You will be working under the guidance of an experienced mentor in a supportive and professional environment with a terrific work-life balance! As the main accounting resource for the CEO and senior management staff, you will gain invaluable hands-on day-to-day Controllership experience with room to take on increased responsibility. Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Financial reporting and analysis
• Manage day-to-day operations including the GL, reconciliations, and AP
• Prepare actual vs budget schedules providing explanations for any meaningful variances
• Prepare a straightforward bi-weekly payroll, including remittances/deductions
• Assist with policy development and strategic planning
• Support administrative tasks when needed
• Ad hoc analysis and special projects

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Completed CPA designation considered a strong asset
• Minimum 4-5 years of progressive work experience required
• Must be a “self-starter” and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An interest in investments would be a definite asset
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Compensation Package:

• $85,000 – $100,000 base salary
• Bonus potential
