Job description

As a cabinetmaker, you are responsible for the artisanal manufacturing of furniture and exhibition systems. Here are some key tasks that may be associated with your position: 1. Lumber Preparation: You select and prepare lumber based on project specifications, ensuring it is of good quality and suitable for its intended use. This may involve cutting, sanding and working the wood to obtain the different pieces needed.  
< /span>2. Assembly: You assemble the individual pieces of the furniture using appropriate assembly techniques, such as dovetails, mortises and tenons, dowels, screws, etc. You ensure that the joints are strong and durable.  3. Finishing: You apply finishes to wood to improve its appearance and durability. This may include staining, painting, varnishing, lacquering or other specific treatments depending on the design of the furniture.  4. Use of tools: You use various carpentry tools such as saws, planes, drills, sanders, planers, milling machines, wood lathes, etc. You must be familiar with their use, always paying attention to safety.

5. Use of machinery: Operated a CNC, field strip plate, table saw, planer etc.

6. Follow-up of plans: You work from plans and technical drawings provided by a draftsman, carefully following the measurements and instructions specified. You must be able to understand plans and interpret diagrams to produce furniture to the required quality standards.  
6. Quality and control: You carry out regular checks to ensure that the furniture is manufactured according to specifications and quality requirements. If necessary, you make changes or adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Collaboration: You collaborate with other team members, such as designers, other cabinetmakers, or finishers, to share ideas, solve problems, and work together to complete the project.

8. Packaging: After quality control has been carried out, the furniture must be packaged and protected so as not to be damaged during transport. Product identification.
