Job description
Our Nationally recognized client is in search of a Business Analyst to provide detailed business requirements and data analysis while working with business and platform teams to understand and document business requirements throughout an agile software delivery cycle.
This is a fully remote 6 month contract.
*** Candidates must be eligible for Government of Canada Security Clearance (5+ years in Canada) ***

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
•Utilize business analysis techniques to uncover business needs and translate them into inputs to be delivered by Agile teams
•Recognize pro-actively where solutions impact related applications, business processes, or data/information integrity
•Present complex or conflicting situations/issues to stakeholders.
•Uses persuasion, influence, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
•Lead informative well-organized presentations and facilitate sessions to review requirements and identify gaps; ability to bring others to agreement around a set of ideas to achieve the goal or bring about beneficial resolution
•Deliver clear, complete and usable documentation, that is right sized for the product, and that the client and/or product owner can validate to support the sign-off process; and is serviceable for the technical project members to deliver the solution
Specific Project/Platform Requirements
•Identify and assess business needs
•Create user stories and clear acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (ADO)
•Collaborate with team and triage problem tickets and bugs
•Work closely with development team on solutioning and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
•Support the user with their User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional troubleshooting
•Facilitate Backlog refining sessions and backup Scrum Master when needed to run huddles
•Coordinate deployment documentation and approvals
•Perform functional testing and creation of Proof of Test (POT) documentation
Qualifications
Top Skills Required:
•Strong knowledge of MS Excel
•Experience in refining backlog and in creating acceptance criteria
•Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO)
•Knowledge of Power BI
Assets:
Experience in Risk, Legal and Corp Services domain
