We are looking for a talented Sales & Events Supervisor to lead our Sales & Events departments. If you are interested in event planning, hotel and food & beverage, this might be the perfect job for you.
As a Sales & Events Supervisor you report to the General Manager daily on set specific financial targets. You are responsible for driving leads from both internal and external sources. You will assist clients with building their event, while ensuring that you provide flawless execution. You will direct other members of staff with regards to set-up, take-down and other details to ensure satisfaction. Overall, you will be our GDI brand ambassador.
As a Sales & Events Supervisor:
– Ensuring the smooth running of catering service and promoting a professional and hospitable image to the guests.
– Communicating with customers and handling their complaints, inquiries, and feedback.
– Delegating and evaluating tasks for the staff and monitoring their performance and compliance with GDI standards.
– Coordinating the activities of the various departments and ensuring the quality and efficiency of services.
– Reporting and resolving any issues or problems that may arise in the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
– Execute the banquet operations of the hotel while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies and/or procedures set forth by our company.
– Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for contracts, client information, and event details
– Generate external sales, as well as attend and be apart of networking opportunities to achieve competitiveness, exposure, and higher financial goals.
– Assist the GM where necessary.
– Collaborate with the GM to understand the specific requirements of each contracted event or group.
– Assist in creating standard operating procedures for the department.
– Banquet event execution and managing quality assurance.
– Managing clients and customer service, including event quotes, and accounts management.
– Banquet Inventory planning and labor control.
– Scheduling
– Managing and submitting weekly financial reporting regarding banquet sales, targets, and labor control
– Collaborate with Flavours 8 with menu selections, costing and set-up.
Qualifications:
– Business level English
– Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
– Proficient in computers, ability to learn new operating systems easily
– Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the hospitality industry
– Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality events
This is a Monday to Friday job however, weekends and evening shifts are to be expected.
Wage is negotiable and based on experience.
