Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within an assigned list of affinity groups and through personal networking efforts, specifically targeting CEOs, business owners, and HR managers to tailor benefits programs that meet their employees’ needs.
- Leverage social media marketing strategies and in-person networking to enhance outreach and engagement with potential clients.
- Accurately document all client and prospect interactions within our CRM software platform(s), maintaining a detailed pipeline report to track engagement and sales progress.
- Prepare and present customized insurance proposals, conduct persuasive sales presentations, and efficiently close sales. Support the implementation and onboarding process for new clients.
- Achieve new business production goals by maintaining a strong lead qualification process and a high close ratio, while also fostering account development and strategic business alliances.
- Act as a primary representative of the company at various community and business events to promote the services and oversee the creation and distribution of sales materials and promotional programs to support sales efforts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales, specifically within the Group Benefits and/or Individual Insurance sector.
- Required certification for insurance sales in Quebec (AMF) and Ontario (FSCO), with a strong preference for candidates already possessing a relevant client base.
- Exceptional interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems and CRM software, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, particularly for candidates based in Quebec, to facilitate group meetings and client interactions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing & Sales, or a related field is preferred, alongside a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for client visits and meetings.
