Job Summary
As the Director of Catering & Events , you will be responsible for leading our teams that provide services in catering at the DAC, as well as oversee our growing catering on campus. Team will consist of salaried managers, operational team and an administration/billing team.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Director of Catering & Events , we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Develops and manages Food and Beverage operations for internal and external Catering
- Ensures quality standards are maintained at all times
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and guests
- Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
- Attends and/or conducts pre-shift meetings to communicate department initiates, H&S Safety, recognition
- Leads the menu development process in partnership with Executive Chef and team
- Develops the Internal/External Catering Journey with SFU
- Identify opportunities to increase profits and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation and driving necessary change.

- Minimum 5 years previous experience leading high volume food and beverage operations, catering and/or events
- Excellent leadership, coaching and supervisory abilities. Positive, energetic personality
