Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic GFL Environmental Inc. Location 20 Brydon Dr. Etobicoke, ON M9W 5R6, Salary 32.00 hourly / 40 hours per week, Full time, Weekend, Shift, Overtime. Worksite environment, Dusty, Noisy. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Order parts and maintain inventory. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Verify and repair emission control systems. Check, calibrate and perform routine maintenance to equipment. Experience and specialization. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization. Hydraulic transmissions. Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering. Brake system. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling. Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment.
